About Me
Sharon Farland - Owner / Licensed Dog Trainer
Training dogs has been my passion for as long as I can remember. After completing my Associates Degree in Animal Care from Becker College, I began my career at the Pomfret Small Animal Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant. As I became more focused on the training aspect of animal care, I obtained a position as Kennel Assistant and Dog Trainer at Quinebaug Kennels, Canterbury, CT. From there I went on to become the Obedience Trainer and Dog and Cat Department Manager at Petco in Dayville, CT. After I had my oldest son, Scott, I moved back on to become the Senior Obedience Trainer at Quinebaug Kennels, where I gained valuable experience in working with people and dogs. I have experience working with a wide variety of breeds, from tiny Chihuahuas to massive Great Danes.

Like many, life changed when I had to quit my job due to COVID-19 and come home to help care for my son when schools closed. Having moved away from full-time training for close to two years, my heart never left working with dogs and my dreams only grew. During the months that followed, my husband Blake and I put the plans together to create my own business here at home. We transformed a portion of our garage into a small, cozy kennel where I can continue pursuing my goals in working with dogs.

With over 15 years of experience in working with dogs and their owners, I am ready to help you create a better relationship with your pet. I love to see the development of the relationship between a dog and its owner.

Your dogs will always be cared for when they are with us and treated like family by myself, my husband, and our two boys.
